ABOUT THE EVENT

Join Adrian Dickens of Circa AD Jewels (personal jeweller and ArtsNational lecturer) and Kenneth Park (historian, curator, ArtsNational lecturer and cultural ambassador) for an exploration of the life, jewels and legacy of Maria Callas.

Through two complementary talks, discover the extraordinary story of one of opera's greatest divas.

Adrian Dickens traces Callas' journey from a difficult childhood to becoming the defining operatic star of the 1950s and '60s. Renowned for her mastery of Bel Canto, glamour, celebrated jewellery and dramatic romance with Aristotle Onassis, her remarkable life was marked by triumph, tragedy and enduring style.

Kenneth Park takes you on a grand tour of the world's great opera houses, many of which were graced by Callas, exploring the iconic stages that shaped her legendary career.

Ideal for lovers of jewellery, opera, history and the performing arts.
